1. Do a barrel roll!
We’re not going to spoil this one with a picture, but suffice it to say that if you get motion sickness easily, you’ve been forewarned. This is a fun little reference to the Star Fox video games, for those of you who have played them.
2. Spinner
This is a newer fad. Whether you love or hate Fidget Spinners, you can’t deny that they are everywhere right now. Google has taken advantage of this trend and made their very own digital version. Now you can waste time by using Google’s spinner—and you can use it for free! Pretty good deal, right?
You can also choose a “wheel” spinner and select between 2 and 20 numbers. Use this for fun things like raffles or as just another way to pass the time.
3. Is Google down?
For those of you who like some blunt humor, search for “Is Google Down?” We won’t post the spoiler image here.
4. Tic Tac Toe
Bring back your childhood with a bit of Tic Tac Toe. Simply search for “Tic Tac Toe” in Google and you’ll be presented with a little game! You can adjust the difficulty from easy to medium or impossible. Or, just select “play against a friend” and have fun that way!
5. Zerg rush
Type in “Zerg rush” and watch as little o’s come to attack all of your search results. Destroy them with your mouse before they completely destroy everything. You can keep track of your score and APM in the upper right portion of the screen. Once the Zerg inevitably overrun you, watch for a little Easter egg at the end of the game. If you’re not into games, this whole Zerg reference might escape you (spoiler: It’s originally from StarCraft), but you can still have fun playing!
6. Google Gravity
This one is cool but it’s another one that is definitely not for those who easily get motion sickness! To try out the gravity trick, first head to Google.com, then type in “Google gravity” and hit “I’m feeling lucky.” Watch as your screen succumbs to the effects of gravity. Oh, and you can also have fun flinging all the pieces around with your mouse.
7. Google Pirate
To try out this trick, first head to https://www.google.com/?hl=xx-pirate. Then search to your heart’s content! You’ll notice that all the normal Google links and options have been replaced with pirate speak: “Images” becomes “Engravin’s” and every “r” becomes “rrr”!
